Linear topologies on algebraic objects (Lineare Topologien auf algebraischen Objekten)

- Contents: The seminar deals with topologies on algebraic
objects -groups, rings, fields and vector spaces. It will also treat
applications, for example to infinite Galois theory, to the theory of
distributions and in particular to the duality theory of Hopf algebras.
No prior knowledge of these fields is required, but some knowledge of
point set topology is needed (topological spaces, continuity,
compactness). The seminar is intended for students that have completed
their Vordiplom (graduate students).
