News

  • February, 22nd: By popular request we offer a script for the block lessons on non-compact Riemann Surfaces. You may pick up a copy in room B 415. (Please make an appointment first).
  • February, 20th: Since room A 027 is no longer available, the (block) problem session will from now on take place in Luisenstrasse 37, HS 116.
Content: Script Non-compact Riemann Surfaces, Otto Forster.
  • January, 31st: The exam will take place at 14:15 tomorrow. No aids are allowed. Please make sure that you arrive 10 min before the exam starts, i.e., before 14:05.
  • January, 31st: The exam will take place at 14:15 tomorrow. No aids are allowed. Please make sure that you arrive 10 min before the exam starts, i.e., before 14:05.
  • January, 25th: The mark of those students, that achieved more than 116 points for the first ten problem sheets, will be improved by 0,66. The mark of students with less than 116 but more than 79 points will be improved by 0,33. The rules stated on November, 16th apply.
The announcement of January, 24th, concerning additional points from problem sheet 11, is therewith of no relevance for any student.
If you want to know the total number of points you achieved, you will have to write an e-mail to Pascal Reisert.
  • January, 24th: There is no deadline to hand in Problem Sheet 11. However, if you need additional points in order to get a bonus on the exam mark, you will have to hand in the solutions as usual until 15:15 on Wednesday.
  • December, 19th: There will be no lecture on December, 21st and there will be no exercise lessons on December, 21st and January, 9th. Merry Christmas!
On January, 11th we will talk about Problem Sheet 8.
  • December, 8th: The exam will take place on February, 1st from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in A 027.
  • November, 16th: Students, who achieve a certain amount of points for their solutions of the problem sheets will improve their final mark: If a student achieves at least 50% of the possible points, his/her mark will be improved by 0,33, e. g. exam: 2,7, final mark: 2,3. If the student achieves at least 75% of the possible points, his/her mark will be improved by an additional 0,33, thus together by 0,66. E. g. an exam mark of 1,7 will be improved to 1,0.
The mark 5,0 cannot be improved, i. e. no student will pass if he/she hasn't got at least 4,0 in the exam. The best possible final mark is 1,0 - 0,7 and 0,3 are not awarded. A student who hands in no problem sheets will still be able to get 1,0.
  • November, 15th: There have been mistakes in the solutions of Problem 10 and 12 on Wednesday 14.11. You find the corrections here.
  • October, 17th: Please register for the lecture (see below). The first lecture takes place today; the exercise lessons start next week, i.e. 24th and 26th of October.

Problem sheets

The current problem sheet is available here and below.
You may hand in your solutions until Wednesday 3 p.m..
We cannot force you to hand in the sheets, but we recommend you to do so.
