About Me
I am a (tenure-track) professor at the department of mathematics at LMU. My research concerns the intersection of low-dimensional topology and geometric group theory. You can (usually) find me in office 318 at the department.I obtained my PhD in 2011 at the University of Bonn under the supervision of Ursula Hamenstädt. After that, I was a Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago, and an Assistant in Bonn, before coming to LMU. My detailed CV can be found here.
Current information
- In light of the worsening Corona situation, there are various (good) reasons why you as a student might prefer online teaching to in-person teaching. If you are a student in one of my classes or seminars, and you would prefer online teaching, you can send me an email any time -- it is not necessary to indicate any reasons. I will treat the request confidentially, and offer a hybrid or online solution.
- Information on the Geometry Oberseminar can be found here
