====================================================================

System Requirements:
PC with 80486 or Pentium Processor,
Operating System MS Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0,
Windows XP or higher

INSTALLATION
If you have unzipped the file aribasw.zip conserving the
directory structure, you have got the following directories
and files:

(*-----------------------------------------------------------*)
ARIBAS (directory)
  README.txt (this file)
  aribasw.exe (executable)
  aribasw.hlp (help file for Aribas)
gnugpl.txt (text of the GNU General Public License)
EXAMPLES (subdirectory with examples of ARIBAS Code)
Readme1.txt (readme file for the examples)
    factor.ari
    pi.ari
    queens.ari
(*------------------------------------------------------------*)

No special installation is necessary. ARIBAS is ready to start
by double clicking on aribasw.exe in the Windows Explorer.
You can also create a shortcut for ARIBAS on the Desktop by
dragging aribasw.exe from the Windows Explorer to the Desktop.

If you are using ARIBAS for the first time, we suggest that
you begin by reading the Introduction of ARIBAS Help (accessible
via the ?-Menu)

If you want to move ARIBAS to another directory, you can do so
without problems. The only condition is that the files
aribasw.exe and aribasw.hlp should be in the same directory.
ARIBAS does not overwrite any system files nor does it create or
change any entries in the Windows Registry. Hence you can deinstall
ARIBAS by simply deleting the files. If you have used the ARIBAS
help, the Windows Help System will have created a file 'aribasw.gid'.
This file can also be safely deleted.
