Anne Quéguiner-Mathieu (Paris): In a way, Milnor's conjecture provides a solution to the classification problem for quadratic forms. It provides a family of relative invariants, that can be used to detect isomorphic quadratic forms. Extending these invariants to involutions on central simple algebras is a challenge. In degree 3, however, the Rost invariant can be used to define a relative invariant for involutions in certain contexts. Recent developments on this question will be presented, based on a joint work with D. Barry and A. Masquelein.
