On Thursday October 18th, 2018, at 16:30h
will give a talk in lecture hall A027 on
Spectral asymptotics of quantum Hamiltonians (Habilitationskolloquium)
Abstract: The speaker will review some of the results in the spectral analysis of self-adjoint operators he has obtained in the recent years. For several models used in the description of quantum particles in different materials we will discuss the existence, amount, and magnitudes of their eigenvalues in dependence of external perturbation potentials. We will also discuss the high energy asymptotics of the integrated density of states for periodic and almost periodic Schrödinger operators.
Everyone is invited! Join us for coffee and tea in the common room (B448) half an hour before the talk.
