Renormalization of exponential sums and cocycles
Zusammenfassung: In this talk, we will present a renormalization method that can be applied to quadratic exponential sums as well as to matrix cocycles. For quadratic exponential sums, the renormalization gives a precise description of the growth of the sums when the number of summands increases. For the cocycles, it allows also to control the long time behavior of the cocycle, in particular, to control the Lyapunov exponent. For cocycles associated to quasi-periodic Schrödinger, it enables to control the structure of the solutions.
