How to get to the Department

The department is located at the intersection of Barerstr. and Theresienstr. near the Department of Physics building and the "Reich der Kristalle" Museum.

  • How to get from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) to the department:
    Take the S-Bahn (any train) one stop in the direction of the Ostbahnhof to Karlsplatz/Stachus. Ascend to the ground level and take the streetcar (tram) Nr. 27 in the direction of Petuelring (three stops) to the Pinakothek, at the intersection of Barerstr. and Theresienstr. The Mathematics Department is in the building right next to the tram stop.

  • From the airport to the department:
    Take either the S1 or the S8 (S-Bahn) to the city. Get off at Karlsplatz/Stachus and take the streetcar Nr. 27 in the direction of Petuelring. The third stop is the Pinakothek, at the intersection of Barerstr. and Theresienstr. The Mathematics Department is in the building right next to the tram stop.
