EST Training Workshop 2005, 5 - 9 September, Fischbachau
The first of an annual series of training workshops of the early stage training
programme
Mathematical
Logic and Application (MATHLOGAPS) took place
from
September 5th through September 9th 2005 in Fischbachau,
a small village near Munich, Germany.

The workshop will consist of
4 lecture courses, invited
talks, and student presentations.
The lectures will be the following.
- Michael Rathjen: Proof Theory and Constructive Set Theory (4 lectures) slides-1 slides-2 slides-3 slides-4
- Dana Scott: Sets, Topologies, Categories, and Computability (4 lectures)
- Frank Wagner: Théorie des Modèles et la Propriété d'Indépendance (4 lectures) slides course-material
- C.-H. Luke Ong: Game Semantics (4 lectures) slides
The following invited talks are scheduled.
- Stan Wainer: The Paris-Harrington Independence Result via Fast Growing Functions
- Andrej Bauer: Synthetic Computability (2 lectures) course-material

Registration and Conference Fee
The workshop is already over, hence registration it not possible any
more.
Registration is by sending an email (text only! emails in other
formats will be ignored) to

- short description of previous academic career
- title of the proposed talk, if applicable
- role in the mathlogaps program, if applicable
Every incoming registration will be acknowledged.
The conference fee is 350 Euro per person and is precisely for
accommodation, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.
- People not affiliated to any mathlogaps site pay
their fee by directly booking their room/meals at the hotel out of
our pre-reserved block of rooms. More details will be provided
with the acceptance notification. Please do not contact
the hotel before advised to do so.
- People affiliated to a mathlogaps site speak to
the mathlogaps coordinator at their site. In this case, payment
will be arranged via the local site, or a grant might
be applicable, for students probably including a travel grant as
well.
